Gods Holy Days

What exactly are Gods Holy Days and who keeps them?

God has Annual Holy Days that reveals and outlines his plan of salvation, but man has substituted these days for man made holidays like Easter, New Years Day, Christmas, and many more days that’s not in the Bible.

Man in general has completely lost sight of what God has planned for our salvation, and believe me it’s far more wonderful than the human mind can grip.

This may sound crazy and off the wall a little but just keep in mind what the Bible says here in Proverbs 18:13. “He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.” What I’m saying is “please don’t call me crazy until you hear me out first.”

You will find in Exodus 12 long before any of Gods laws were given to Moses and long before God made a covenant with the Israelites, you will see that Gods Holy Days were being observed, and you will find in Leviticus the 23rd chapter a summary of Gods Holy Days and feast.

The seventh day Sabbath is far more important to God like any other command or law. When he made the Sabbath for man he required man to rest on that day, and it hasn’t changed today and never will, because God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. There is a great purpose for observing the Sabbath day.

When the church was in the wilderness, God told them that the “Sabbath” was a covenant ‘SIGN’ between him and his people.(Exodus 31:13)

What is a sign? Well it’s actually proof, or an identifying tag to identify and prove that they are his people and he is their God. It is also a memorial of creation “ A sign is a supernatural proof of identity.

It is the sign by which WE KNOW that He is God. How does it prove that to us? " It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed."

It is a memorial of CREATION.
Creation proves the very existence of God and identifies him. The seventh day Sabbath is a weekly memorial of God’s creation all the way back to the week he created man.

God NEVER changed the weekly Sabbath day, from day one it’s always been the seventh day Sabbath (Saturday) not Sunday like the world believes today.

That very day keeps us in the true memory of true worship of the true God. No other day but the SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK could have that great significance and MEANING.

It was designed to keep us in the true worship of God, but now it’s taken very likely by many people and even more people were raised believing it Sunday, but the Bible and history says something completely different.

What are The Purpose of Gods Holy Days
There are seven annual Holy Days God gave his people (Church) having a great purpose. They too were (and are) to keep his Church in true memory of HIM, their one and only true God, and of course so the church will continue to remember and understand Gods great plan of salvation.

These great annual Holy Days picture the Plan of spiritual creation and pictures the meanings of each one of them. These are not just some old normal regular days to take lightly.

These wonderful, spiritual Holy Days were commanded by God to be kept yearly and forever, not only by Israel but God’s spiritual church is also commanded to keep Gods Holy days and the weekly Sabbath.

Thanks for reading and feel free to leave a comment below. Thanks and God bless you.

I have been doing a study on the holy days and the Sabbath as well as on the words forever. When God gave the holy days to israel the hebrew word used was eon, which does not mean forever but age lasting. If these holy days were age lasting are they still to be kept now? Didn't everything lead up to Christ?

There is a great danger in interpreting scripture that we can confuse Israel and that church and therefore fall into a form of legalism by believing that we must observe certain holy days inorder to please God. This is not to say that we should not observe a day to remember God, but it is to say that I doesnt matter if it is monday or tuesday or any other day of the week. Romans 14:5,6 "One man regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Let each man be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat and gives thanks to God." If a person is convinced they must observe one day over the other then they must do it in faith unto the Lord, but it is contrary to the teachings of Paul to make these a requirement for salvation and to judge others for doing so or not.
