Gods Holy Days

What exactly are Gods Holy Days and who keeps them?

God has Annual Holy Days that reveals and outlines his plan of salvation, but man has substituted these days for man made holidays like Easter, New Years Day, Christmas, and many more days that’s not in the Bible.

Man in general has completely lost sight of what God has planned for our salvation, and believe me it’s far more wonderful than the human mind can grip.

This may sound crazy and off the wall a little but just keep in mind what the Bible says here in Proverbs 18:13. “He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.” What I’m saying is “please don’t call me crazy until you hear me out first.”

You will find in Exodus 12 long before any of Gods laws were given to Moses and long before God made a covenant with the Israelites, you will see that Gods Holy Days were being observed, and you will find in Leviticus the 23rd chapter a summary of Gods Holy Days and feast.

The seventh day Sabbath is far more important to God like any other command or law. When he made the Sabbath for man he required man to rest on that day, and it hasn’t changed today and never will, because God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. There is a great purpose for observing the Sabbath day.

When the church was in the wilderness, God told them that the “Sabbath” was a covenant ‘SIGN’ between him and his people.(Exodus 31:13)

What is a sign? Well it’s actually proof, or an identifying tag to identify and prove that they are his people and he is their God. It is also a memorial of creation “ A sign is a supernatural proof of identity.

It is the sign by which WE KNOW that He is God. How does it prove that to us? " It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed."

It is a memorial of CREATION.
Creation proves the very existence of God and identifies him. The seventh day Sabbath is a weekly memorial of God’s creation all the way back to the week he created man.

God NEVER changed the weekly Sabbath day, from day one it’s always been the seventh day Sabbath (Saturday) not Sunday like the world believes today.

That very day keeps us in the true memory of true worship of the true God. No other day but the SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK could have that great significance and MEANING.

It was designed to keep us in the true worship of God, but now it’s taken very likely by many people and even more people were raised believing it Sunday, but the Bible and history says something completely different.

What are The Purpose of Gods Holy Days
There are seven annual Holy Days God gave his people (Church) having a great purpose. They too were (and are) to keep his Church in true memory of HIM, their one and only true God, and of course so the church will continue to remember and understand Gods great plan of salvation.

These great annual Holy Days picture the Plan of spiritual creation and pictures the meanings of each one of them. These are not just some old normal regular days to take lightly.

These wonderful, spiritual Holy Days were commanded by God to be kept yearly and forever, not only by Israel but God’s spiritual church is also commanded to keep Gods Holy days and the weekly Sabbath.

The Meaning of Everlasting, Eternal and Forever in the Bible

What are the true meaning of the words everlasting, eternal and forever in the bible? Do you know the meaning of these words?

It seems obvious that these words mean the same thing right, which is “never ending, non stop, continuously and forever with no end.”

Ok these are our modern day words meaning forever but The Greek word translated “forever and ever” is the word ‘aion’ which has a limit, and doesn’t mean forever.

These words were always used in reference to time when used in Hebrew and Greek writings. It could be used to describe a person’s lifetime (their age), or even a longer time period, like the 1,000 years in the millennia, or even an unknown time period, but however long the period is, it does has an end to it.

Let’s look at one of the verses that are commonly used to prove the doctrine of everlasting punishment.

Take a look at Revelation 14:11. “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”

The words “for ever and ever” comes from the Greek word “aion” which has a limit  and doesn’t mean eternality, so in Rev. 14:11 there’s a time period to be tormented. How long? Only God knows.

The word "aion" has been used by Greek classical writers to reference to  “limited duration” and not “eternal.”

Although this word doesn't mean “eternal or forever” but there were only one word that came the closest to our English word “eternal” and that word is “aidios”.

Here is a scripture where “aidios” is used in Romans 1:20
"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse”

As you can see why this makes so much sense. “Eternal” literally means “eternal” because it’s translated from “aidios”.

The Bible always uses the word “aion” (age, limited time) when speaking of the future punishment of unrepentant sinners.

Check out this verse in Matthew 25:46 " And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."

The thing is, at first glance most people would think that this means eternal, which is does, but “everlasting punishment” is definitely everlasting, but the punishment is death, meaning their death will last forever with NO hope of a resurrection. That the purpose of a second death right?

Is there a reason to be resurrected after a second death?

The purpose of the first resurrection is to be judged, so sinners involved in the second death have no purpose for another resurrection because they've already been judged in the first resurrection.

Here’s a few verses that speaks about the second death for un-repented sinners…

"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." (Revelation 20:14)

"Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." (Revelation 20:6)

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death." (Revelation 2:11)

What’s this about the second death? We can discuss more about that in another post.

Knowing the meaning for "AION" and other Greek and Hebrew words when translated to everlasting, forever and eternal is a must to get a  full understanding.

The Saints Will Inherit The Earth For Eternity

Is that true? Will the saints inherit the earth for eternity?

What! Are you kidding me here?

Most professing Christians truly believe with all their heart that saved Christians are going to Heaven upon death. Sure everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, but is it true? Is it written in the inspired Word of God?

If your beliefs is based on the Holy Bible, and you believe all save Christians are going to Heaven after death, do you have any proof of that? If so, is your proof in the Bible?

To be honest, I believed this for years, practically most of my life because at first I never read or studied the Bible myself, I just went to church because my grandma commanded me to.

I wasn’t really interested in church at all, so it was only natural to just sit and believe whatever the pastor and Sunday school teacher taught us. If that wasn’t bad enough, I slept numerous of times in church.

Hey why wouldn’t I believe that all saved people are going to heaven? It sounds so real and so true.

I know I sound silly saying "The Saints Will Inherit The Earth For Eternity." I may even sound crazy! or retarded, but you know what?  Sounding like I lost my mind doesn’t prove that I’m literally lying through my teeth, so before you click me off, hear me out first and then feel free to click away.

The subject of going to heaven is a classic example of the need to start with the most plain, obvious verses. We will examine a number of them here.

Let’s start from Christ’s very own words in Matthew 5:5 “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.”

Isn’t this just as plain as day?

Have you ever heard a minister quote this scripture, or any other scriptures similar to it?

You've probably heard a number of ministers say "the saints will inherit the earth for eternity" right? or maybe not.

You don’t hear many ministers say that God’s purpose for the saints is to inherit the earth. A true believer of the Bible wouldn’t turn the cheek and ignore this powerful scripture from Christ himself.

How could this very important scripture get skipped over? It’s right at the beginning of the New Testament, and did you notice that Christ was quoting Psalm 37:11.  Go to Psalm 37:11 and read it in your own Bible.

“But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Let’s go on to another plain and clear scripture in Revelation 5:10. This is what the apostle John recorded, “And hast made us (saints) unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

Can this scripture get any plainer than this? Why is it that the plainest and most understandable scriptures in the Bible are often ignored or skipped over?

Does the word kings and priest mean anything to you? Well it sure does to God and Christ.

That means the saints will have some type of rulership on earth right? Isn’t that part of what being a king or priest is about? Rulership? Obviously it isn’t referring to the world we’re living in right now. This world is ruled by the one and only, Satan the devil. This world is filled with evil.

Psalms 37:9 is a very plain and interesting scripture, “For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth."

Ok there it is again, plain and clear. “inherit the earth” is quite popular in the Holy Bible. It may not be listed a thousand times, but I say one time is enough to make a believer out of me. Wow! Doesn’t that powerful scripture just blow your mind?…in a good way? I hope it does.

Psalms 37:22 also mentions the saints inheriting the earth. “For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.”

What is it about this “inheriting the earth” thing? I wasn’t taught this while growing up. Why is it that so many people, virtually the whole world teaches going to heaven?

Is it possible that the whole world could be deceived? Hmmm. Good question. Let’s refer to Revelation 12:9 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

Hmmm, so Satan deceived the whole world huh? So that explains why so many people are deceived into believing all of these different theories that the Bible doesn’t teach.

The meanings of many scriptures of the Bible are simply misunderstood and are based on humanly assumption, that’s why it’s always safe to study what the words mean in it’s original language to match it up with the English version.

Remember, the Bible was written so long ago and was translated to English so long ago, so the meaning to many words centuries ago may not necessarily be the same meaning to modern day words.

Here’s a slight example…

The word ‘everlasting’ in a particular verse in the Bible may NOT mean ‘non stop, never ending, or literally forever and ever’  it could mean an ‘age, life, period of time, a time that has a start and end to it’

but as you can see, the modern day meaning to ‘everlasting’ in English terms is ‘literally forever and ever without an ending, so when the average modern day person sees the word ‘everlasting’ they’d immediately assume that it means one thing, ‘NEVER ending’.

I hope you can see that the Bible truly and clearly teaches that the  The Saints Will Inherit The Earth For Eternity.

On my next blog I’m going to discuss the meanings of the Hebrew and Greek words translated as ‘Forever, Everlasting and Eternal.’ So keep an eye out for it.

Thanks for reading, and feel free to leave me a comment below, I would love to hear from you. Thanks and may God bless you dearly.

What is the lake of fire burning with brimstone

The lake of fire burning with brimstone is a very scary thought for millions of people.

Does it scare you too?

Do you believe that sinners who don't except God will burn forever and ever in the lake of fire buning with brimstone where they will be tortured with NO mercy at all?

Is there a hell? If so, where is it, and when do the wicked people go there to receive their punisment?

Do you believe in the resurrection of the dead?

There are so many different beliefs about what will happen to sinners who don't repent. Why are there so many different biefs about the fate of the wicked? Where does all the confusion come from?

There are many popular beliefs about the fate of unrepentant sinners. Why such confusion? What are the Bible answers? Here is the truth about hell!

One of the most common beliefs about hell is unrepented sinners burning in this hot flaming lake of fire burning with brimstone that will burn forever and ever and never burn them up.

I believed this same traditional belief growing up in our church, but this theory just didn’t add up to me. I asked myself many times, “What kind of God is capable of something like this?

I ended up searching for the answers that made sense to me, NOT continuing to believe everything I'm being taught without doing the research for myself.

I was very aware that I'm responsible for my own salvation, so It's critical for me to get the answers and the FULL truth once and for all before it's too late.

I asked myself many times...

Is this the Loving God that the Bible teach about?

Why would he design this NEVER ending lake of fire burning with brimstone for sinners?

Didn’t the Bible say that Everlasting LIFE was ONLY promised to the Righteous people?

The last time I checked that’s exactly what I read, John 3:36  says “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall NOT see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

John 6 :47 says “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” Ok  It’s clear the righteous people will have everlasting life,  So I guess the question is, “What will happen to the ones that DON’T believeth?

Ok I’m getting ahead of myself here, that’s another post, we’ll discuss that topic in another post, but right now we’re going to chat about what hell really is. I mean the facts of the Bible.

The Bible Gives the Location of Hell

What you're about to read may be hard to believe. . .

We're going to discuss the place the Bible calls hell. I want to show you some solid Bible evidence for the Bible definition of hell, and it may not be what you’re thinking, so please DON’T take this lightly, because if this is true (which it is) you could be in some MAJOR DANGER  if you don’t at least have an open mind and do the research yourself.

To get the true meaning of the Bible, you have to first get the true meaning of the original form of the Bible, which was originally written in Hebrew and Greek.

Keep in mind that the Bible translators did their best when translating the original language to English, meaning they came as close as possible to finding the English words that came the closest to the meanings of the original Hebrew and Greek words.

The Bible speaks of three types of hells. Here’s the three types hells and definitions of each one…

Sheol and Hades- Abode of the dead, the underworld, "the common GRAVE of mankind, or pit. Sheol and Hades (the grave) is the place the righteous and unrighteous goes after death, and stays until resurrection..

The word "hades" was in fact substituted for "sheol" when the Hebrew scriptures were translated into Greek. In the Hebrew Bible "Tanakh" (old testament), the Hebrew word “Sheol” was used 60 times and was translated in the English version as “hell.”

Tartaroo or Tartarus- The original Greek word translated hell in the new testament. This word only appears one time in the Bible, which is the place (hell) where the sinning angels are being held until time of judgement.  (2 Peter 2:4) . For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell (Tartaroo), and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.)

Gehenna- The burning garbage dump near  Jerusalem, which is called  Valley of Hinnom.” It is mentioned in the Bible 13 times in 11 different verses. Dead bodies of criminals, the carcasses of animals and other things were thrown into that fire.

Gehenna represents what will happen to sinners who don’t repent of their sins. Jesus spoke  about what would happen to them in  Matthew  10:28 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Now ‘hell’ in this verse is translated from the Greek work ‘Gehenna’ which represents what will happen to the unrepented sinners.

The Gehenna fire is the type of fire that burns up completely whatever is thrown into it, so it’s clear that the unrepented sinners will burn up in this type of fire.

In Rev. 20:14,  gehenna (hell) is clearly described as the SECOND DEATH. Death is so EXTREME, that even death and hades (grave) is thrown into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Did you know that the destruction of the cities Sodom and Gomorrah is used as an example for sinners who will suffer the punishment of eternal fire?

Well that’s what the Bible says. See Jude 7  “Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Now when you really think about this, you’ll see that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, which were destroyed with fire are NOT still burning today, those people are obviously dead and has been burned to ashes by eternal fire. See that is the prime example of what’s going to happen to sinners who DON’T repent.of  their sins.

Look what Peter said in 2 Peter 2:6 about Sodom and Gomorrorah,  And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that after should live ungodly;

Did you turn to the verses in your Bible while reading this blog?

Doing so will truly help you put the sciptures together to help you and anyone with an open mind to understand the Bible more so there will be NO confusion in mind.

The lake of fire burning with brimstone and any part of the Bible can be easily understood when you know the true meaning. God is NOT the author of confusion.
